EATINGFLAG

EATING FLAG, a jello social, was presented at The American Fabric Building, an Open Studio event in, Fall of 2022

My artwork is informed and inspired by the intersections of daily life, symbols, and feminism.

The installation: EATINGFLAG, explores the entangled and layered meanings of flags and gelatin, inviting engagement and social discourse.

The American Flag is a bold and mighty symbol. A dream inspired the most iconic 20th c. artwork based on the flag. Its title is simply FLAG, created in 1958 by American artist and veteran Jasper Johns.

EATING FLAG installation is my artist's response to reclaiming the flag.
