The digital images featured in this project are a selection of works from “DISHCollection.” The artworks depict thrift store plates paired with gelatin and comment on domesticity, sex, humor, power, and politics. The work is also a nod and a poke at museum's Decorative Arts dish collections. Each piece focuses on the dish image in the center of the field. The central placement of the image gives the appearance of a keyhole (or portal) and invites the viewer to look closer at the artwork. The works involve cooking, thrifting, photography, and digital play.
